My Story
I am originally from Annapolis, Maryland, U.S.A.; but my educational endeavors took me far and wide to obtain my bachelors in chemical and biomolecular engineering in Cleveland, Ohio, and my Masters in User Experience Design in New York City.
I originally began my studies in the sciences and pursued chemical and biomolecular engineering at Case Western Reserve University. However, I always had an interest in the arts and anthropology so I took up some elective courses and extracurriculars in related topics. I also managed to spend a semester studying abroad at the Technical University of Denmark.

After graduation, I started working at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner for chemical engineering inventions, specifically in smoking/vaping technology. During this time, I realized I didn't want to work in chemical engineering for my entire working career. I figured I should do something that has always interested me like art and design. I researched different careers and qualifications and concluded I would pursue a Masters in Design in user-interface or service design. Design aligned with my interests, expectations, and career goals. I managed to be accepted into Pratt Institute where I ultimately earned my masters in product and user experience design.
Outside of my formal education, I enjoy studying other cultures, languages, and medicine, Additionally, my interest in the arts led me to take up acting classes. Though I doubt I will become a professional actress, the classes introduced me to the industry and improved my public speaking skills. In my free time I enjoy Latin ballroom dancing, gardening, reading medical literature, and making art projects such as custom furniture.
